  • Wyoming Energy Authority Request for Proposals (RFP): Electricity Transmission Study
    The Wyoming Energy Authority (WEA) seeks proposals from qualified consultants to conduct a comprehensive statewide transmission planning study to evaluate Wyoming’s electric transmission system and identify strategic opportunities for future transmission development. This study is required under Wyoming Senate File 102 (2026), which directs WEA to conduct a comprehensive, two-phase state-wide transmission planning study, evaluating future load growth, transmission constraints, advanced technologies, and a qualitative electricity market participation assessment. The study will provide technical analysis and policy guidance to support future transmission infrastructure development and economic growth in Wyoming.   • NASEO Request for Proposals: Support for Comprehensive Electricity Planning in Era of Load Growth Initiative 
    NASEO has issued a request for proposals (RFP) to retain the services of a subcontractor who will provide subject-matter-expertise and expert facilitation support for the NASEO-NARUC Comprehensive Electricity Planning in Era of Load Growth Initiative. To support the advancement of comprehensive electricity planning, this initiative by NASEO and the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC) is providing a forum for the development of state-led pathways toward a more resilient, efficient, and affordable grid that accommodates load growth. The subcontractor shall provide expert support by facilitating member education and peer sharing; convene Initiative members and stakeholders; and develop tools, resources, and webpages.   • DC Department of Energy and Environment Notice of Request for Information (RFI): Distributed Battery Storage Systems to Address Grid Needs
    The DC Department of Energy and Environment (DOEE) is requesting input from interested parties available to provide services in the District of Columbia regarding how distributed batteries can provide key grid services in the District.   • New York Announces $8 Million for Advanced Fuel Projects
    The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority opened an $8 million funding opportunity for projects focused on emerging low-carbon fuels and supporting infrastructure, including hydrogen and ammonia (PON 6161). The solicitation will support product development, pilot projects, and demonstrations that address energy needs in difficult-to-electrify sectors, including heavy-duty transportation and industry, or provide backup power. Applications are due September 28, 2026, by 3:00 p.m. ET.
